Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I have never had a massage before - what would be the best type of massage to get?

A: For all new clients, we recommend a 55 minute Swedish massage. Like any other therapy and medical service, you want to find the right therapist who fits with you.

Q: How do I know if a deep tissue massage is right for me?

A:  A deep tissue massage can be painful due to the deep pressure necessary for working out muscle issues. Discuss your curiosity with your therapist to see if it might be right for you as everyone’s pain tolerance is different. And ALWAYS ask your therapist to adjust your pressure to your liking.

Q: Are there any preparations I should make before a therapist arrives at my home or office?

A:  The therapist will need a space big enough for the massage table and space to walk around it. The ability to block out sunlight and any other distractions is preferable.

Q: How frequently should I get a massage?

A:  We recommend at the very least once a month. The more frequently a client gets a massage, the more the client will reap the benefits of overall improved health and well being.

Q: What if I don’t like the massage or don’t feel comfortable?

A: You can always end a massage with no questions asked. Therapy will not be helpful if the client is not comfortable so it is important to keep looking until you find the right massage therapist for you. You need to feel comfortable communicating with your massage therapist to ensure you get the best massage experience possible.

Q: What is your service area?

A: Right now, we are serving Arlington and Fairfax counties, Alexandria City, Falls Church City, and Fairfax City. We hope to expand our service area soon, including into Maryland and DC!
