Table Massage

Get ready to relax! Our team of experienced Mobile Tranquility therapists bring our table massage to your home!

Sounds too good to be true? “It’s true,” says our company founder, CEO Tony Easilick, who has been a massage therapist since 2001. “My goal has always been to bring massage to as many people as possible — simply because it’s one of the best ways to not just heal from what may be hurting in your body, but because getting a massage regularly can keep you healthy.”

We have offices, too: If you prefer to have your massage in a one of our massage studios, our team of therapists have offices around the DMV — including Old Town, Alexandria, and Springfield in Virginia, Dupont Circle in Washington, DC, and in Bethesda, MD.

While not for everyone, deep tissue massage is an effective way to increase blood flow, move lymph, break up adhesions, and more

Massage options:

  • Swedish Massage: Basic relaxation massage used to increase circulation, reduce stress and anxiety. This massage allows the therapist to feel for any trouble spots for future treatment.
  • Deep Tissue Massage: Not recommended for everyone! But if you are up for the deepest form of release, this technique will relieve tension and soften adhesions through a variety of techniques that helps the therapist access deeper layers of tissue, fascia, and muscle. These include cross-fiber friction, active release technique, muscle energy technique, trigger point therapy, and range of motion with pin and stripping of the focal adhesions, and myofascial and positional release. The therapist may use their thumbs, a reinforced thumb, knuckles, forearms, or elbows to apply the pressure needed for a deep tissue massage. Learn more here.
  • Pregnancy massage is a safe and effective way to relax Mom and baby.

Prenatal Massage: Research shows prenatal massage therapy can help reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. Prenatal massage therapy addresses different needs through varying techniques, one of which is called Swedish Massage. Swedish Massage aims to relax muscle tension and improve lymphatic and blood circulation through mild pressure applied to the muscle groups of the body. It is the recommended massage method during pregnancy because it addresses many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts. Learn more here.

  • Reflexology: A form of massage with roots dating back to ancient Chinese medicine, reflexology is a gentle yet powerful technique based on a map of the feet (hands, and ears). It identifies pressure points that supposedly correspond to certain organs and muscles in the body and can even be used to stimulate the endocrine and nervous system. Essentially, this is a fabulous foot massage with specific therapeutic goals in mind, a reflexologist might focus on your heels if you’re suffering from pelvic or sciatic pain, and the tops of your four small toes for sinus trouble. While science doesn’t fully support the claims about these pressure points and their relationship to other parts of the body, it does offer other benefits, such as deep relaxation. Learn more here.
